Rosneft will triple capacity of Tuapse oil refinery

Rosneft has launched the new utility of primary oil refining at the Tuapse oil refinery that can triple its capacity. The utility has not yet achieved profitability as yet due to lack in raw material, and nearly all the products made  are exported. The use of AVT-12 utility began in July 2013, but it was not made  public. The active pipeline connecting the plant with the system of Transneft, the operator of the Russian pipelines, is able to provide only 60% of total consumption of the new utility in raw materials. For a solution to the problem, Rosneft build the new pipeline Tikhoretskaya-Tuapse-2 with the same capacity as the new utility, 12 million tons a year, but Transneft does not accept it in operation as yet.
