Transneft’s Head Nikolay Tokarev is likely to be replaced

It’s likely that they have started to look for a replacement to the current President of Transneft, Nikolay Tokarev. Indirectly, but a significant sign is the fact that recent celebration of the pipeline monopolist’s anniversary was ignored by first persons of all the national authority levels. This is clear sign that they are not satisfied with the Transneft’s Head and he doesn’t meet expectation of the country’s Authority Bodies.

About a thousand people, who came from all regions where Transneft’s subsidiaries work, were at a reception in Goztiny dvor, which was held in late August. But the high spirits of the audience and the festive atmosphere were rained  onby the fact that none of representatives of the top echelons of power appeared at the party. Even the Minister of Energy Alexander Novak ignored the event - he sent his Deputy Kirill Molodtsov in his place. Actually, this man was the only official of the government level. It is also noteworthy that the reception wasn’t visited by heads of the largest oil companies, although oil workers never miss a chance to show how much they value the pipeline monopolist.
