Transneft and Transnefteprodukt merge

Transneft’s deputy vice president Vladimir Nazarov has spoken about the merger of Transneft and Transnefteprodukt and project of “single product” transportation

Before 2007, Transneft and Transnefteprodukt were two different companies. Since then, the association is carried out. What is the situation today?

- Yes, we have integration processes since 2007. At first glance, the pipeline transportation of oil products and transportation of oil carried out at the same way. However, each of these activities has its own peculiarities. That’s why, the first task in the integration was audit of all regulations under which Transnefteprodukt operates, and their bringing up to the standard of the parent company. In 2011, contract work in the oil products transportation was transferred to Transneft, and the company fully controlled all other functional areas of the Transnefteprodukt’s activity.
