Transneft to make export in eastern direction more expensive

Transneft has proposed to differentiate the growth rates of tariffs on oil transportation through the main pipelines, depending on the direction. The cost of the oil pumping through the eastern route will grow a little faster, and via the western one, on the contrary, a little slower.

Transneft requested the increase in tariffs for the oil pumping through main pipelines by 6.75% in conditions of the projected inflation in the amount of 7.5% in 2014, a draft order of the Federal Tariff Service says. According to the March order of the Government, the rates of Transneft are planned to be indexed at the level of 90% of the consumer price inflation in 2015-2017 and at the level of 90-100% - in 2018-2020.
