Transneft has not connected Amur refinery to the ESPO pipeline

Transneft is unable to connect the Amur refinery to the Eastern Siberia - Pacific Ocean pipeline. This statement has appeared on the official website of the transport company. It is reported that letters with explaining about it were sent in the address of the Governor of the Amur region and to the Energy Minister, Alexander Novak.

The oil refinery in the Amur region is planned to be built near Beryozovka in the Ivanovo region. Its designated capacity is up to 6 million tons of crude oil per year. 90% of its production is scheduled to be supplied to China. A pipeline of almost 70 kilometers in length is intended to be constructed for this. Recently, mass media reported that the project was approved by the Chinese State Committee. One of Chinese companies is an investor. Initially, it was planned to supply oil to the refinery in the Amur region via via the ESPO pipeline.
