FTS doesn’t allow Transneft to increase the tariffs by 20%
The Federal Tariff Service doesn’t allow Transneft to increase the tariff for oil pumping via ESPO by 20%, the Head of the oil and gas regulation department of FTS Denis Volkov reported. As he said, the decision was made in connection with the previously adopted governmental regulation about freezing of the oil pumping tariffs within the whole system of Transneft. There won’t be any exception even for the premium direction in the country. Oil companies are satisfied with the decision, as it will maintain their large profits from oil exports to the APR.
Previously Transneft proposed the Ministry of Energy and FTS to increase the export tariff for ESPO and its branch to China by 20% (450 RUR) – to 2.531 thousand RUR per ton from January 1, 2014. The company explained, ESPO deliveries to Kozmino port are the most profitable. Taking into account the tax preferences for the oil deposits in Eastern Siberia, the companies’ profits from each ton delivered via ESPO reach $79 against $47 in other export directions.
