Angarsk to receive about 220 thousand tons of oil from the Talakan field via ESPO until the end of the year.

Until the end of 2008 about 220 thousand tons of oil will be transported to the Angarsk refinery through the Eastern Siberia - Pacific Ocean (ESPO) oil pipeline in the reverse mode from the Talakan field, Nikolay Tokarev, the president of JSC "Transneft", reported to the then Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin at a meeting on Thursday, where they discussed issues concerning the construction of the pipeline - the official website of the Russian government informs.

Prior to this the head of "Transneft" stated that the road up to 1105 kilometers from Taishet to Talakan has been built and is ready to run in the reverse mode. All the necessary measures and the testing of this site were made, which allow to start pumping oil from the Talakansky field, which the "Surgutneftegas" company also runs concurrently with this site. According to the company's data, the first commercial oil Talakan in reverse mode - and today it is 4000 tons of daily production - begins to fill the pipeline.
