New hydrocarbon sites will be prospected near the ESPO pipeline

The Subsoil Use Management Department of the Siberian federal area is searching the contractor for execution of geological exploration near the ESPO pipeline in Yakutia, the Vice Director of the Department, V. Ernst says.

The reasonability of the work is presupposed by the need for the enlargement of the hydrocarbons resource base nearby the pipeline, and the detection of the perspective sites for their further development, he says. Mr. Ernst states that, first of all, they are going to determine the hydrocarbon sites potentially useful for development and to license them. The next stage will be prospecting and development of the deposits themselves.

Exploration will be performed in the Eastern part of the Siberian platform. They will perform seismic and electric exploration with further forecasting of the possible hydrocarbon-bearing zones.
