Japan Itochu discusses prospects of participation in the project OGPC with SOCAR

SOCAR (Azerbaijan) and Itochu (Japan) held negotiations regarding the prospects of participation of the Japan company in the project of a new oil and gas refining and petrochemical complex creation in Azerbaijan. The questions have been discussed during the meeting of the delegation of SOCAR, headed by the company’s president R.Abdullaev with the vice-president of Itochu, chairman of the Japanese-Azerbaijani Committee on Economic Cooperation Mr.Yoichi Kobayashi and the managing director of the corporation T.Yasuda.

The parties mentioned a 20-years successful bilateral cooperation. The spokesmen for Itochu appreciated the assistance of SOCAR, which it renders to its partners within the frame of “Azeri-Chirague-Guineshly” block of oil-and-gas deposits development project and thanked the management of SOCAR for the leading role in the realization of the project.
