By the end of this year Turkmenistan schedules to lay the foundation of three new gas-chemical complexes, the Turkmen oil and gas complex "Turkmengaz" informs.
In H1 2016 the volume of Azerbaijani oil pumping via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) amounted to 14 million 930.79 thousand tons, which is 2.6% higher than within the same period last year, SOCAR (the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) informed the agency"Interfax-Azerbaijan".
"In general, since the moment the pipeline entered into operation (on June 4, 2006 - IF) till July 1 of this year the volume of pumping was 307 million 606.179 thousand tons of oil, including in June - 2 million 489.988 thousand tons", - according to SOCAR.
Turkmenistan begins to build TAPI without solving the key challenges of the project.
Turkmenistan started the construction of TAPI gas pipeline to India. However, currently the prospects of the project worth $ 10 billion remain uncertain: no western company was included into the consortium for the construction of the pipe. It is also unknown who will build and provide security for the Afghan section of the gas pipeline.
In January-October 2015 the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) will pump 14 million 549.129 thousand tons of Azerbaijani oil via Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC), a message posted on the official website of SOCAR informs. In comparison with the same period of 2014 the export of oil via BTC dropped by 2 million 727.342 thousand tons, or by 15.8%.

The Japanese companies Itochu and Inpex plan to continue their cooperation with Azerbaijan in the framework of the further development of the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli block, the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan reports.
The participation of the Japanese companies in this project and in the construction of the Garadagh oil and gas processing and petrochemical complex was discussed by the Energy Minister, Natig Aliyev at the meeting with the Minister of Economic Revival, Social Protection and General Reform of Taxes, State Minister for Economic and Financial Policies of Japan Akira Amari in Baku.

On Wednesday, the Arbitration Court of the Far Eastern District (Khabarovsk) will consider the cassation appeal of the largest Russian oil company Rosneft to acts of the lower courts, which rejected its claim to the operator of the Sakhalin-2 project the company Sakhalin Energy (50% plus one share belong to Gazprom) for access to the gas pipeline, owned by the project.
Rosneft, which is a part of the consortium of the Sakhalin-1 project, planned to use the pipeline to transport up to 8 billion cubic meters of gas per year from its fields in the north of Sakhalin to a gas liquefaction plant, which Rosneft and its partners, such as ExxonMobil, are going to build in the south. Sakhalin Energy stated about the absence of spare capacity to transport gas of the plaintiff.
In January-July 2015 the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline, through which most crude oil in Azerbaijan it exported, transported 3.7 million tons of Turkmen oil compared to 3.1 million tons transported in the same period in 2014, the report of the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan for January-July 2015 informs.
In 2014 the BTC transported 5.6 million tons of Turkmen oil compared to 3.3 million tons transported in 2013.
In H1, 2015 the Azerbaijani International Operating company (AIOC), which develops Azeri-Chirague-Guineshly block of oil fields in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, produced the same volume of oil as during the six months of 2014.
According to an operator of the project BP Azerbaijan, oil production at the AChG block of deposits made up 641 thousand barrels of oil a day in H1, 2015. It reached 661 thousand barrels a day in the first quarter,
SOCAR (Azerbaijan) and Itochu (Japan) held negotiations regarding the prospects of participation of the Japan company in the project of a new oil and gas refining and petrochemical complex creation in Azerbaijan. The questions have been discussed during the meeting of the delegation of SOCAR, headed by the company’s president R.Abdullaev with the vice-president of Itochu, chairman of the Japanese-Azerbaijani Committee on Economic Cooperation Mr.Yoichi Kobayashi and the managing director of the corporation T.Yasuda.
The parties mentioned a 20-years successful bilateral cooperation. The spokesmen for Itochu appreciated the assistance of SOCAR, which it renders to its partners within the frame of “Azeri-Chirague-Guineshly” block of oil-and-gas deposits development project and thanked the management of SOCAR for the leading role in the realization of the project.
