The oil pipelines should be independent from the oil companies - the Head of FAS.

The development of oil pipelines in Russia may occur through the provision of minority stakes to oil companies, however, the pipelines must remain independent, Igor Artemyev, the head of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS), stated.

In February, "The Vedomosti" newspaper referring to the letter from Igor Sechin, the President of "Rosneft", to the Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev wrote that "Rosneft" has suggested that the Government considers the possibility of attracting investments for the development of pipelines due to the additional issue of "Transneft's" ordinary shares.
