Major oil companies do not agree with the idea to simplify the access to pipelines for independent oil refineries.

Major oil companies - Lukoil, Surgutneftegaz, Rosneft and "Gazpromneft" - opposed the idea of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) to simplify the access to pipelines for independent oil refineries, states "The Kommersant" newspaper.

The oil companies believe that in a situation where the proposal for certain oil products exceeds the demand, changing the rules is meaningless. FAS also believes that the companies are trying to avoid the emergence of new competitors.
