The head of Transneft has asked the Government to reject Sechin’s project

Transneft thinks that construction of a new oil refinery in Nakhodka is too much early; the project was suggested by the chief of Rosneft I. Sechin. Reuters reports  that a letter referring to the project of the  head of Transneft N. Tokarev to the Vice Premier A. Dvorkovich. Transneft thinks that oil refineries already existing at Far East are enough for the satisfaction of the regional needs.

Mr. Tokarev states that the construction of a new oil refinery will lead to growth in the expenses of Transneft into construction of a new pipeline with length of 1,300 km from West Siberia to Nakhodka. He evaluates expenses of Transneft by 250 billion rubles.
