"Transneft" starts to expand the ESPO.

Events (extending the capacity of ESPO) will help to fulfill the Russian-Chinese agreements to increase oil supply to China to 20 million tons per year from January 1, 2015, as well as to carry out the transportation of oil to the Khabarovsk oil refinery after the completion of the ESPO pipeline system offset to the refineries.

"Transneft" starts to expand the capacity of the ESPO-1 and ESPO-2 pipeline systems, which will increase the supply of oil to China and carry out the transportation of oil to the Khabarovsk oil refinery (part of the NC Alliance Oil), LLC "Transneft-Far East" stated on Tuesday.

The "Eastern Siberia - Pacific Ocean" pipeline system provides the deliveries of Russian oil to the Asia-Pacific region, as well as to the domestic market. The first stage of the ESPO was launched in December 2009. The second stage of the ESPO was commissioned on December 25, 2012. The ESPO-2 capacity will be 30 million tons, increasing to 50 million.
