Transneft isn’t ready to reduce tariffs for transportation to the East

Transneft isn’t ready to reduce tariffs in the eastern direction, the company’s head Nikolai Tokarev reported at the meeting of the FEC Presidential commission.

According to him, the eastern direction is currently subsidized by the western route, so due to the western route the rates in the east are by 30% less. Transneft uses up to 37 billion rubles of its revenue from exports to Europe to compensate decreased export tariffs to the East.
