Eastern Siberia - Pacific Ocean Project Management Center (a subsidiary of Transneft) has started to implement the investment project on equipping the ESPO-1 with an excess-pressure protection system, the company’s press centre reports.
It is noted that such systems are already used on the main oil pipeline, providing a safe pumping of 58 million tons of oil per year. The investment project provides for installation of additional equipment to prevent excess pressure in increasing the capacity of the ESPO pipeline to 80 million tons.
