SOCAR resumes oil pumping via Baku-Novorossiysk oil pipeline

The state-run oil company of Azerbaijan, SOCAR resumed the pumping of oil via the oil pipeline Baku-Novorossiysk as far back as in February, they said in the press-service of OJSC “Transneft” to RBK.

In May 2013, the RF Prime Minister D.Medvedev signed a termination of a contract with Azerbaijan on the Azeri oil transit via Baku-Novorossiysk oil pipeline. Oil supplies were pumped temporarily after under the previous agreement. On February 15, SOCAR announced about the transference of oil transportation from Baku-Novorossiysk to Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline. But it became known on February 18th that SOCAR signed a new agreement with Transneft on a supply of oil via Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline.
