UC Rusal: in 2014 shortage of aluminium to reach 1.5 million tons

UC Rusal has increased its forecasts for the deficit of metal on the world market in the current year and expects the further growth in prices, the press centre of the aluminium company reported, cited the words of deputy general director Vladislav Soloviev.
"The supply of aluminium on the market outside of China, the largest aluminium producer, may be by 1.5 million tons less than the demand, and in 2015 the deficit will be even more," - said Vladislav Soloviev.
In 2013, the world aluminium consumption increased by 6% to 51.7 million tons, and on markets outside of China by 4% to 26.23 million tons.
