Vorkutaugol finishes the first stage of large-scale upgrade of Central dressing plant Pechorskaya

The first stage of the enterprise upgrade has been completed at the Central dressing plant Pechorskaya – a structure of Vorkutaugol, one of the largest coal-mining companies in Russia. The new equipment will allow the dressing plant to increase the output of coal concentrate by over a third.

The upgrade of equipment was carried out at the plant during a year and concerned section №2. Before they started mounting, the specialists of the enterprise worked with employees of North American company PBS Сoals and consultant engineering company SPb-Giproshakht (both companies are parts of Severstal) to choose modern solutions for the Central dressing plant upgrade. They worked out project of strengthening of the Pechorskaya’s building with stiffening sheet metal work, because the main building, which construction started in 1970s, wasn’t designed for new high-powered technique.
