Stainless steel export is down by almost 70% since early 2014

According to calculations of the association “Spetsstal”, the Russian Federation has reduced the export of products from stainless steel by 66.5%.
“The export of flat mill products is down by 37.4%, rolled steel – by 12.7%, wire – 80.8%, electric-welded pipes – by 85.7% and primary semi-products – by 94.7%. Seamless pipes export is up by 1.5%,” is said in the press-release.
In August 2014 the export of key types of products from stainless steel made up 452 tons. The reduction against July makes up 56.3%.
