UC Rusal loses shareholders
There maybe changes in the list of stockholders of UC Rusal. Sual Partners belonging to V. Vekselberg and L. Blavatnik are ready to leave the company share capital. They two hold 15.8% in the aluminium company. Under the agreement closed between the majority shareholders of UC Rusal En + by O. Deripaska, Sual Partners, Onexim by M. Prokhorov and Glencore, if Sual Partners decides to sell its share in the company, it should offer it first to En +. There's no information whether Sual Partners has offered its shareholding either to En +, or to other owners of UC Rusal. Now En + holds 47.41% in UC Rusal.
Mr. Vekselberg and Mr. Blavatnik value the share in UC Rusal by $3.95 billion - $4.74 billion The shareholding is valued at $2.4 billion at Hong Kong SE where its stocks are listed. A. Usmanov seems to be have the best chances among the list of candidates for the purchase. At the beginning of 2011 the mass-media reported that Mr. Vekselberg and Mr. Blavatnik were prepared for the selling of UC Rusal's share in Norilsk Nickelby for $12.8 billion, as UC Rusal has large debts and hasn't paid dividends since 2008. EN + and Glencore contradicted the transaction and the sale failed. Usmanov being a minority shareholder of UC Rusal acts as an ally of Deripaska in his conflict with other shareholders of the company.
