In 2013, the Ukraine plans to increase uranium production
In 013, the state enterprise Vostochny Mining and Processing Plant (VostGOK, Zheltye Vody, the Dnepropetrovsk region) plans to produce 1.05 thousand tons of natural uranium concentrate that is by 9.4% more than in 2012 (960.2 thousand tons), the corporate newspaper of VostGOK reports, referring to the enterprise’s General Director Alexander Sorokin.
“In spite of difficulties – almost total lack of budget financing for the development – this year the plant will reach the level of 1050 tons of metal per year. It’s imperative to significantly increase the production volumes, although the accomplishment of this mission is the enterprise’s duty,” – the newspaper cites the enterprise’s Head.
