Vale might overtake Norilsk Nickel by nickel extraction volumes

On the results of Q3 2014 Vale SA (Brazil), one of the leading mining companies of the world, significantly increased nickel extraction despite of the repair works at a number of capacities in Canada. In July-September the company produced 72,100 tons of nickel – the best results since 2008.
The growth of volumes is 16%. On the results of the year Vale’s nickel extraction is expected to make up 289,000 tons.
