MET being abolished for remote coal deposits to help Mechel and TEPK

The order of Russian President Vladimir Putin to spread the abolishment of MET to remote coal deposits will mainly concern the Elginskoye coal deposit, developed by Mechel, and the Elegestskoye coal deposit, developed by TEPK of Ruslan Baisarov, analysts, interviewed by the agency Prime, think.

On Monday, Putin, during the meeting in Kemerovo, entrusted the Government to adopt stimuative tax arrangements for companies that develop new coal deposits in remote regions. According to him, this issue has been discussed for five years already. “We must finish excess bureaucracy or we will stick in implementation of new deposits development projects in the Far East and Tuva for a long time,” – the President said.
