V. Polin changes aluminium for gold
The top-manager of Rusal and En+ leaves for Polyus Gold.
Kommersant has learnt that there is a new position of executive director at Polyus Gold OJSC (unites the production assets of Polyus Gold of S. Kerimov). V. Polin will occupy this position. He headed the profit making eastern division of UC Rusal from 2010-2013. But Polyus hasn’t managed to find a constant CEO for the entire group.
The former top-manager of Rusal and En+ of O. Deripaska, V. Polin, will be soon be appointed to the position of the CEO of Polyus Gold OJSC (unites the production assets Polyus Gold of S. Kerimov). Sources of Kommersant close to En+ and Polyus Gold said and their representatives confirmed. Polyus said Mr. Polin will control the operational subdivisions of the corporate center and business units (production, engineering, energy, purchase, logistics). The position of the CEO is formed from August 4th and the top-manager will be subordinated to the CEO of Polyus Gold OJSC, F. Kirsanov. V. Polin didn’t comment before the official appointment.
