Ferrexpo has entered top-3 of pellets producers

​On the results of 2015 Ferrexpo became the 3rd among the largest world producers and exporters of pellets for blast-furnace production having reached the volume of production and export of 11.7 mln tons.

The top-5 of world leaders on the production and export of pellets for blast-furnace production also comprises: Vale (Brazil) – 23.9 mln tons of pellets, LKAB (Sweden) – 13.7 mln tons, Ferrexpo (UK) – 11.7 mln tons, Metalloinvest (Russia) – 7.4 mln tons, Cliffs (USA) – 7.1 mln tons.

The company hopes for the growth of demand for pellets for the blast-furnace production in the long-term perspective which is explained by the growth of demand of metallurgical plants for products of the highest quality which will allow to significantly reduce the level of polluting emissions into the atmosphere and improve the quality of finished goods, Ferrexpo reports.

Ferrexpo plc holds 100% of shares of Ferrexpo AG, which in its turn holds 97.34% of shares of the Poltava GOK and 100% of the yeristovo GOK. 50.3% of shares of Ferrexpo is controlled by K. Zhevago via Fevamotinico S.a.r.l.
