Vekselberg and Blavatnik ready to sell share in UC Rusal
Two of UC Rusa'sl founders, Sual Partners owned by V. Vekselberg and L. Blavatnik can sell the aluminum holding stocks. A source close to UC Rusal has told about probable sale of 15.8% in the company. They give no reasons for such a decision. A preliminary discussion is being held at the moment and time can pass till the deal happens. Sual Partners representative rejects the information and his colleague in UC Rusal tells that the company knows nothing about such plans.
The agreement between the UC Rusal majority shareholders En+ controlled by O. Deripaska, Sual Partners, Onexim and Glencore say that if Sual Partners decides to sell their share in UC Rusal then it should offer the share at first to En + at average rates for the 3 previous days, $3.97 billion now. Otherwise, Sual Partners can sell in the market not more than 0.5% of the stocks within 4 months, not more than 20% of average bidding volume within the latest month at once (it was 0.05% on Friday).
Nobody knows if Sual Partners has offered its shareholding to En+. The representative of the latter gave no answer upon the question, the same as Onexim’s one. Glencore representative refused to comment upon the issue.
