“Norilsk Nickel” completes modernization of crushing capacity of the ore-dressing plant in Zapolyarye

There has been implemented an investment project on technical re-equiping of the crushing department of the dressing plant in the Kola GMK (subsidiary of GMK “Norilsk Nickel”). The project involved the replacement of the existing secondary crushers and the ones of fine crushing by modern crushing and screening equipment, manufactured by the company MetsoMinerals. Ore dressing is the most important part of the treatment process in the processing chain of the enterprise. The degree of nickel, copper and cobalt recovery in the concentrate depends on the fineness of the crushed ore, which arrives at the plant for grinding. The modern equipment installed makes it possible to reach the optimal value of ore crushing and grinding mode.
