FEGC carried out a trial coal firing of the Elga deposit

OJSC “Far Eastern Generating Company” (part of JSC “RAO Energy Systems of the East”) has carried out a trial “Zh” grade coal firing of the coal from the Elga deposit at a number of its stations. The deposit is developed by OJSC Holding company “Yakutugol”, a part of the “Mechel” group. Preliminary results are to be characterized as positive. Elga coal firing has been carried out since August 2013 at Komsomolskaya TPP-2, Artemovsky TPP, Birobidzhanskaya TPP and Partizanskaya state district power plant.
