Yesterday the Minister of Energy of Russia, A. Novak made a report about the state and prospects of the development of coal industry during the session of the Presidential Commission for Fuel and Energy Sector. Last year coal production increased by 5.2% to 355 million tons. Coal processing increased by 10% to 140 million tons. They annually launch modern high efficient enterprises with total capacity of over 20 million tons, and stop non-efficient enterprises with capacity of 7 million tons. The total annual coal capacity exceeds 410 million tons, including 310 million tons of energy coal and 100 million tons of coking coal.
