Evraz NTMK reduced environmental pollution
A modern aspiration system at the ladle furnace #2 was put into operation at the converter shop of Evraz NTMK. The highly productive equipment allowed to cut gas and dust emissions into the atmosphere by 4 times.
The aspiration system is equipped with 450 filter sleeves which prevent the emission of pollutant substances into the atmosphere.
The new cleaning system allowed to significantly improve labor conditions of steel makers and crane operators.
In June a similar unit was installed at the vacuum unit of the converter shop.
In 2016 Evraz NTMK spent about 45 mln roubles for the modernization of aspiration systems at the converter shop.
Currently the converter shop of Evraz NTMK is one of the most modern steel making capacities in Russia. In the past years all 4 converters and CC machines were reconstructed.
