MMK produced a record level of zinced pipes in April

​In April 2016 the sheet-rolling shop #8 of MMK produced 1,540 tons and shipped 1,591 tons of zinced pipes.

This is a record result for the entire history of operation of the hot zincing unit of the shop.

The previous record was set in February 2016 when the shop produced 1,461 tons of zinced pipes and shipped 1,514 tons.

In 2015 the output of zinced pipes at MMK made up 6.7 thousand tons.

In January-April 2016 about 5 thousand tons were produced and shipped.

Pipe production in the framework of the complex program for the development of deep metal processing at MMK started in the 1990s. In 2001 a modern automated zincing unit was put into operation which is meant for the zincing of steel electric welded pipes. Hot zinced pipes with anticorrosion coating are by 2.5 times more reliable and durable than regular pipes.
