In 2015, coal-mining enterprises of the Sakhalin region produced 5.3 million tons of fuel, the increase made up 17.6%, the regional Ministry of Economic Development reported on Wednesday.
"More than 4 million tons of coal were exported to the Asia-Pacific region, which is by 28% more than in 2014. Products were delivered to India, China, Myanmar, the Republic of Korea, Taiwan, the Philippines, Japan," - a spokesman said.
