MMK increased steel output and products shipment in Q1

​MMK group reported on its operational results for Q1 2016. Steel output and shipment of saleable products increased.

The total steel production by MMK group in Q1 made up 3,025 thousand tons (+4.4% against Q4 2015, -6.3% against Q1 2015). In Q1 2016 the total loading of steel making capacities of the main site in Magnitogorsk rose to 88%.

The total shipment of saleable products by MMK group made up 2,788 thousand tons (+4.5% against Q4 2015, -5.4% against Q1 2015). The reduction of shipment against Q1 2015 is due to a high sales level in Q1 2015 when metal traders loaded their stock houses on the background of high inflation expectations.

The production of coal concentrate by Belon made up 794 thousand tons – at the level of Q4 2015. The growth of volumes of coal concentrate production against Q1 2015 made up 33.7% which is mainly connected with the repair works in the previous period.
