The development of the production of non-ferrous metals to take place in the Magadan region

The Department of Natural Resources of the Magadan region’s Administration proposes to include the Kunarevsk perspective area and ore occurrence Oroek in the list of subsoil for geological survey, exploration and production of zinc, lead, silver, copper and cadmiunm.

“Prognostic resources of the Kunarevsk perspective area make up 14.2 thousand tons of silver, 4.2 thousand tons of zinc, 605 thousand tons of lead and 1300 million tons of copper. Prognostic resources of the ore occurrence Oroek are 5 million tons of copper and 5 thousand tons of silver,” – the acting Chief of the Department of Natural Resources of the Magadan region’s Administration Elena Suranova reported.
