Steel output grew by 11.5% in April

​The production of steel and semi-finished goods produced by continuous casting method in the Ukraine in April 2016 rose by 11.5% against April 2015 and made up 967 thousand tons.

By March 2016 steel output rose by 9.1%. In January-April 2016, 3 mln 710 thousand tons of steel were produced, by 5.6% more than in January-April 2015.

Cast iron output in April in annual terms rose by 20.5% or by 0.7% in monthly terms and made up 2 mln 58 thousand tons, in January-April 2016 – 7 mln 906 thousand tons (+22.9%).  

The production of saleable ferrous metal rolled products in April 2016 rose by 16.5% and made up 1 mln 191 thousand tons (+5.3% against March 2016). In January-April 2016, 4 mln 361 thousand tons of rolled products were produced (+17.3%).

In March 2016 steel production in the Ukraine fell by 1%.
