In 2015 the nickel shortage on the global market amounted to 8.7 thousand tons and was not compensated by supplies from stocks of the Defence Logistic Agency (USA), the Ministry of Industry reports with reference to the data of the World Bureau of Metal Statistics.
For comparison: in 2014 the nickel surplus was 241.8 thousand tons.
