Gold production in the Sverdlovsk region made up 8 tons in 2015

Gold-producing companies in the Sverdlovsk region produced 7.8 tons of gold in 2015. The region is among the ten largest gold-producing entities in the Russian Federation. Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of Sverdlovsk region A.Kuznetsov stated.

“There are more than 50 gold-producing plants in the region. Gold production was carried out under 53 licenses, among which 6 ore deposits, 10 complex ones and 37 gold placers. In 2015, gold producing companies of the region produced 7.8 tons of gold, 290 kg of platinum and more than 47 tons of silver. The region was on the 10th position in Russia,” A.Kuznetsov stated.
