OMK launches new equipment to fulfill an order for South Stream

Trubodetal, part of OMK, has put in operation new equipment for the cold forming of pipes.
The bent branch of 812.8 mm in diameter with wall thickness up to 40.1 mm from K65 steel grade will be manufactured at the new plant for the part of “South Stream” gas pipeline from the compressor station Russkaya to the Black Sea.
The new 36-ton equipment can work in any weather conditions. It can bend pipes of 530-1020 mm in diameter and up to 50 mm of wall thickness.
