In Q1, NLMK increased steel smelting by 5.85% to 3.909 million tons, that was less by 3.81% when in Q4 2013. Ready metal items yield was 3.590 million tons, by 6.68% less than in Q1 2013, and by 11.27% less than in Q4 2013. Ready products sales increased by 2.76% to 3.867 million tons, including 490,000 tons of sort steel (+36.49%), 77,000 tons of hardware (+8.45%), 1.911 million tons of steel plates (-11.57%), and 1.295 million tons of slabs (+14.6%).
