NLMK to use its own emissions as secondary raw materials

​The reconstruction of a dust and gas cleaning unit is a part of a large-scale nature reversing project at the fire-proof shop.

NLMK has started the reconstruction of a dust and gas cleaning unit at the rotating lime burning furnace #10 at the fire-proof shop. The modernization, which will be over in H1 2015, will allow to increase the efficiency of cleaning of exhaust gases from dust by 3 times, the press service of NLMK reports.

A new highly-efficient electric filter will be installed at the unit with the capacity of 220 thousand cubic m/h. The collected dust will be used for the second time in the technological process as raw materials.

The reconstruction of a dust and gas cleaning unit is a part of a large-scale nature reserving project at the fire-proof shop. In the framework of this project it is planned to gradually reconstruct another 2 similar units until the end of 2015, and another one in H1 2016.

The total investment volume into the reconstruction of 4 dust and gas cleaning units amounts to 222 mln roubles.
