"Amurmetal" asks to prohibit the export of scrap metal.

The temporary embargo on the export of raw materials should help the company to stand on its feet.

The only Far Eastern steel company - "Amurmetal" - requests the Government to temporarily ban the export of scrap metal through the ports of the Far East. The bankruptcy trustee of "Amurmetal" Mikhail Kotov wrote a letter with such a proposal to the Deputy Prime Minister Yuriy Trutnev on August 26 ("the Vedomosti" owns a copy of the letter). It is unknown for what period the export is proposed to be prohibited. Kotov declined to comment. A representative of Trutnev stated that the letter had been sent to the RF Ministry of Industry and the FAS. The representative of the RF Ministry of Industry and Trade did not respond to questions. His colleague from the Federal Antimonopoly Service stated there was no such a letter yet.
