Ukrainian billionaire palms off a fake on Russia

As the RBK daily has discovered, the Ukrainian producers of steel pipes, including Interpipe of the son-in-law of Leonid Kuchma famous billionaire, Viktor Pinchuk, have given fraudulent information on their products supply to the Russian party. The Ukraine also suffers from this: the long-awaited review of Russian antidumping measures in respect of this is postponed.

The largest Ukrainian metallurgic company Interpipe asked to review antidumping measures in respect of some types of steel pipes in spring of this year. The Eurasian Economic Commission started an investigation (decision to change duties may be made only on its results), which it planned to complete in September. At present, dates are postponed: the Commission ascertained that Ukrainian suppliers tried to deceive the Russian party. This was announced at the consultative meeting of the Commission at the end of the last year, some market sources, who are familiar with the investigation process, told the RBK daily.
