Is there a possibility of the appearance in Russia of a new production of stainless steel c/c and c/a sheet?

Currently the Russian market of stainless steels relies on import to a large extent. According to experts, by the end of last year the share of imported products in the consumption of stainless steel in Russia amounted to nearly 70% on a background of the decrease in domestic production. At the same time in the segment of flat products import share is even bigger and reaches more than 80%.

With this in mind, in the spring of 2015 program for the development of import substitution was approved by Order of the Russian Industry and the Trade Ministry of the Russian industry, including the production of stainless steels.
