84% of the total exports of Kazakhstan into the customs union is minerals.

The processed and unprocessed raw materials and fuel are among the major share of Kazakh goods exported to Russia and Belarus within the goods in the Customs Union, "the Caravan" newspaper writes.

According to January - April 2014, the mineral stock is accounted for 84% of the total exports of Kazakhstan, and its share is apparently stabilized at this level. Slightly more than 6% of the export items are "metals and products from them". And this is despite the demands of the increasing share of processed products sales and the implementation of the various programs of industrial development.

The data on the structure of imports into Kazakhstan speculates on the weakness of the import substitution program and FIID. More than 90% of import is finished products. These are machinery and equipment, foodstuffs, footwear and textiles, articles made of metal and wood.
