VSMPO-Avisma increases the accuracy of parts processing

They have kept updating the equipment at VSMPO-Avisma. For instance, there arrived two new processing systems, such as the milling facility and numerically-controlled turning work station, to the workshop for manufacture of non-standard equipment and mechanical equipment (workshop No38).

Last week the stations have passed adjusting process under the control of the assistant of the supplying firm. An “ear of retort” has been chosen as a test component, the main product of the workshop No38. Such a component has been produced in two stages at two machines - horizontal borer and turning-and boring machine - before. Now, it is produced at one processing centre. According to technologists, it will reduce the manpower effort of this part and the whole retort. It will reduce the prime cost of the product.
