Vladimir Strzhalkovsky to turn over metal – Ex-Head of Norilsk Nickel to leave the company by July

The former General Director of Norilsk Nickel Vladimir Strzhalkovsky, who ceded his position to one of the company’s co-owner Vladimir Potanin in December, has decided to leave also the position of its Vice President. Sources of the Kommersant call several versions of the further employment of Strzhalkovsky, in particular, connected with work in Africa, where he was in charge of Norilsk Nickel’s projects during the last months. It is not excluded that Vladimir Strzhalkovsky will be self-employed.

The Norilsk Nickel’s Vice President Vladimir Strzhalkovsky, who was the company’s General Director from August of 2008 till December of 2012, will leave the company at the end of July, the agency Prime reported yesterday, referring to the Top-Manager. The Strzhalkovsky’s representative confirmed this information, said that now he “is considering several proposals on the further activity, the decision hasn’t been made yet”. The contract with Strzhalkovsky will expire on June 28, the Kommersant’s interlocutor, close to Norilsk Nickel, specified. Representatives of Norilsk Nickel and its main shareholders – Rusal, Interros, Metalloinvest and Roman Abramovich refrained from comments.
