Power transmission line to Yana-Kolyma gold to be full-blown in 2017
Complete launch of 220 kV Orotukan-Palatka-Tsentralnaya high-voltage transmission line, designed, including, for the supply of promising gold deposits in the Yana-Kolyma province is scheduled for 2017, said the first deputy general director of Far East Power Management Company (DVEUK) Dmitry Seljutin at the meeting with the Deputy Chairman of the Russian Government and authorized President's representative in the Russian Far Eastern Federal District Yuri Trutnev.
Despite the fact that today the transmission line is ready to receive voltage, its launch is not possible due to lack of technological connection to the electric grids of the territorial grid organization, the DVEUK’s press release notes. Magadanenergo, RAO ES of the East and RusHydro developed a list of the minimum required actions, sufficient to connect the high-voltage transmission line and launch the facility, with a proposal of a source for their funding.
