Russia. Iron smelting is up, steel is down

Cast iron production in Russia increased 4.4% to 39.8 million tons during the first nine months of 2015, while steel making decreased by 0.8% to 52.5 million tons, according to the Federal State Statistics Service.

The output of rolled steel (long products, flat products) is down by 0.6% to 45.4 million tons, while the output of steel pipes is up by 5.7% to 8.6 million tons.
