Rock fall in quarry “Vostochny” not to change production plans of “Polyus Gold”

Rock slide in the quarry “Vostochny” will not affect the plan 2016 on the extraction of 1.76-1.8 million ounces (55-56 tons) of gold by “Polyus Gold”, company’s chief executive P.Grachev stated to RIA Novosti.
There happened rock fall at the quarry “Vostochny” (Krasnoyarsk region) at the end of May. There have been evacuated more than 150 people from the quarry. “Polyus Gold” suspended the operation then.
